Indeed, the rumors were true – Larian Studios, the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2, are developing Baldur’s Gate 3, the next chapter in the world-famous roleplaying series. According to Larian founder Swen Vincke, BG3 is their biggest project to date, with extremely high production values – and probably even higher expectations from fans. Announced during Google’s Stadia Connect livestream, the game looks like it’s going to feature the dreaded mind flayers – or illithids – as the primary antagonists of the storyline.
