Recently, Azure Striker Gunvolt developer Inti Creates has revealed on Twitter that the upcoming 2D action platformer will ship without English voice acting in North America, contrary to what they had initially planned for the project. I know what you’re thinking, though – that means Japanese VAs will be implemented, right? Well, not quite. Inti went on to say that the game will not feature any voice acting at all, save for some mid-battle grunts and such that will remain in Japanese. I’m not quite happy with the decision myself – an option for turning the Japanese VA on or off would have been preferable – but it’s Inti creating the game, not me – the final word is theirs. I’m sure the game will still be great, though, voiced or not.

Azure Striker: Gunvolt will launch this summer in Japan and North America exclusively on the 3DS eShop. A European release is still up in the air.
