The Hand of Merlin, a turn-based roguelike RPG from Room-C Games and Croteam that blends Arthurian lore with cosmic horror, has launched via Steam Early Access. Set in a grand medieval world threatened by the apocalypse, the game has you follow the exploits of mortal heroes on a dangerous quest to reclaim the lost fragments of their souls as they travel between parallel dimensions. Taking cues from the roguelike genre, The Hand of Merlin also makes sure that you weigh your options carefully – after all, your decisions, as well as your death, are all permanent. And speaking of making tough calls, battles won’t be cakewalks, either: when facing foes both human and monstrous, players will engage in turn-based battles, the outcome of which hinges heavily upon making use of the tactical tools at your disposal, such as taking cover, planning ahead or tapping into the unique skills of your team.
