Lost Dimension, a JRPG developed by Lancarse (Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey) and released in Japan last summer, will soon be
making its way to western shores. In the game, players take on the role of a group of young’uns who are out to stop the end of the world by the hands of terrorist known as The End. Wait, though, because here’s where the interesting bit comes in: aside from having to deal with The End – in more than one sense of the word –, you’ll also have to keep a close eye on your own comrades, because not all of them are as devoted to your cause as you might think. Indeed, some of them are secretly traitors working for the enemy, and it’s going to be your job to find them amongst your ranks – if any traitors remain unexposed by the time you reach The End, they’ll join the bad guy in the fight against you. If you happen to accuse an innocent person, though, things might get a bit, well… uncomfortable – additionally, to keep things fresh and interesting, the traitors will be different on each playthrough. The game’s battle system, by the way, appears to work a bit like Valkyria Chronicles.
Lost Dimension is scheduled to be released this summer in both North America and Europe for Playstation 3 and PS Vita.
