Here we have two action-RPG
announcements: one that’s sort of a surprise, and another that’s a bit less so – we do, however, welcome both with open arms. According to XSEED’s recent announcement, both Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed, as well as Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim will be making their way to PC as soon as this spring. Akiba’s Trip, as the title may imply, takes place within the gaming- and anime-centric Akihabara district of Tokyo, featuring vampires that siphon social energies from their victims. So you do what needs to be done to end the vampire menace: expose them to sunlight by stripping them naked. Yup. The PC version of the game will also include the so-called Visual Editor (a tool for customizing the game’s looks) that has only been available on PS4 up till now.
Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim
The other announcement we have, as stated before, is probably the less surprising one, considering there’s already a host of Ys games available on Steam. Either way, the upcoming PC version of Falcom’s much-loved action-RPG will also have its own share of exclusive updates and modifications, including a brand new difficulty mode, as well as certain gameplay changes, like being able to warp between checkpoints.
Both games are expected to arrive on PC sometime this spring.
