Curse of the Sea Rats, a self-titled “ratoidvania” developed by Petoons Studio, has revealed an action-packed new trailer. Starring an unfortunate crew that’s been turned into rats by a pirate witch, the game will have you embark on an epic swashbuckling metroidvania adventure, either on your own or with the help of friends via local 4-player co-op. The new trailer in particular offers a brief look at the four main characters, each with their unique skills and differing play styles: David Douglas rushes into battle with his cutlass and trusty pistol, Buffalo Calf utilizes her speed to take out foes with dual daggers, Bussa the brawler uses his fists to tackle all those in his path, while Akane Yamakawa, a warrior of the Shogun, wields a naginata that allows her to be both deadly and acrobatic.
