Set in a mysterious place called Nightsonnet Isle, the game will put players in the role of an amnesiac protagonist who awakens within a cell with no recollection of who they are or how they got to the island. They will then have to explore the island and the titular Cadence Mansion while scavenging for resources, fighting off various otherworldly monsters with three different weapons, and – of course – solving mind-boggling puzzles to advance further in the storyline. That said, the game is very much designed to be a flexible experience in terms of its difficulty: those looking for a more casual experience will have the option to completely skip puzzles if they so desire, or even eliminate the need to keep the batteries running in safe rooms. Don’t feel too safe, though: Limerick, a deadly marionette-creature is still going to roam the halls of the mansion, and is very much out for your blood.
