Back in April, publisher GungHo launched a survey trying to gauge interest regarding certain old JRPG series’ including Grandia and Lunar. As it turns out, feedback regarding a re-release of Grandia 2 – the classic JRPG released back in 2000 by Game Arts – were quite positive, so here we are today: there’s going to be a remastered version of said game, coming to a Steam near you. You can expect all the usual bells and whistles to be found in the new release (which, by the way, will be based on the Dreamcast version), including HD visuals, keyboard / mouse and gamepad support, achievements and Steam Trading Cards. In the game’s story, you take on the role of Ryudo, a mercenary hired by the local church to escort Elena – a songstress of said church – to a nearby ceremony. In good JRPG fashion, though, things get a bit out of hand and a grand adventure begins.
We’ve received no word on a release date just yet.
