The Zero Escape series recently concluded with this year’s
third installment, Zero Time Dilemma, but seeing how that game was the last entry in a trilogy, you may have some catching up to do. With the recently announced “The Nonary Games” collection, you’ll be able to do just that: releasing on PS4, PS Vita and PC, the pack will include the two first installments in the franchise: 999 and Virtue’s Last Reward, originally released for Nintendo DS and 3DS/Vita, respectively. Additionally, this version of 999 will come with a number of improvements compared to the DS original, namely HD visuals and voice acting in both English and Japanese.
The storyline of the Zero Escape series concerns various individuals who were kidnapped and forced to participate in a game of life and death – throughout the game’s tense storyline, you untangle various intricate puzzles and attempt to slowly but surely piece together the truth behind your situation, but it’s never entirely clear who you can and cannot trust.
Zero Escape: The Nonary Games is expected to release sometime in Q1 2017.
