Loggerhead, a survival horror game inspired by the PlayStation 1 classics of the 1990s, has a playable demo available, developer Affordable Cat has announced. Set in Australia during the 1980s, the game will feature pretty much everything you may associate with the phrase “classic survival horror” – tank controls, fixed camera angles, limited ammo, cheesy voice acting and, uh... bad haircuts? I’ll be honest, I’m not so sure about that last one, but still. Either way, Loggerhead’s storyline begins when our two heroes, Daryl and Tracey, travel to the camp site at Boggarogga Creek despite it being closed due to a series of unresolved murders, and... end up having to face a living nightmare. And fight undead monstrosities. So, pretty much what you’d expect. To get a brief yet action-filled glimpse of the game, here’s its latest trailer:

And if you’d like to try it for yourself, the demo is available on PC via Steam and Itch.io.
