It’s not every day that one comes across a game developed by a Hungarian indie studio, so needless to say, I booted up Tank Maniacs with mixed excitement and anticipation.
Whenever the time comes to visit the Vienna Comic Con, our trip is always preceded by a lengthy period of waiting and constant preparations – as such, when me and my small party made our way to the event in the chilly, soon-to-be-wintry weather, I kept wondering exactly what sort of experiences I’ll be having this time, and whether or not the event will manage to live up to our expectations.
Cold, harsh winds and a long line greeted us in front of the Messe Wien D hall as we arrived to this year’s Vienna Comic Con: the organizers, hoping to avoid last year’s pre-hall crowds, decided to make visitors - who weren’t really in a hurry to grab their badges on Day Zero - wait outside instead.
The very first thing to hit me like a truck is the general atmosphere of the entry hall: we see a long, two-people wide line; a mix of cosplayers and visitors, with no pushing, no cutting in line, no littering, and so on. We’re at the Vienna Comic Con.
